MiG planning increase in exports to $3bn

MiG is planning to increase its exports by three times to $3bn in the period from 2003 to 2005, MiG General Director Nikolay Nikitin declared at a news conference held today within the international air show MAKS-2003 in Zhukovsky, the Moscow region.

As reported earlier, the total volume of the corporation's orders for producing and servicing aircraft and equipment in 2003 amounts to $350m. The volume of services sold in countries of Central and Eastern Europe increased from $800,000 to $300m in the period from 2000 and 2002.

The corporation MiG was created in December 1999. It includes 14 enterprises. The corporation has manufactured more than 60,000 aircraft, including 11,000 that have been exported to more than 40 countries. © &to=http://www.rbcnews.com' target=_blank>RBC
