Congress of Russian Communities holds its congress this Saturday

The Congress of Russian Communities all-Russian public organization is holding its extraordinary congress in Podolsk, Moscow Region, this Saturday. As the organization's press service told RIA Novosti the other day, the congress has been timed to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the organization's establishment.

The participants in the extraordinary congress will discuss the forms of the organization's participation in the parliamentary elections scheduled for December 7.

Leader of the Congress of Russian Communities Sergei Glazyev will deliver the main report. Sergei Glazyev has recently initiated the creation of the people's and patriotic coalition from among representatives of all the main left-wing and patriotic movements and parties.

The press service of the Congress of Russian Communities has also said that the event will be attended by about 200 people. The guests invited to the congress will include renowned politician and former leader of the Congress of Russian Communities Dmitry Rogozin who in March 2003 transferred his powers to chairman of the organization Sergei Glazyev.

Rogozin is expected to confirm at the congress his consent to participate in the creation of a new coalition, which has been called the Glazyev bloc.
