The reorganization of the defence and security structures is "complete and does not require any additional changes," said Russian President Vladimir Putin when speaking at the Kremlin on Tuesday at the ceremony to mark the promotion of senior officers.
According to the President, now the structures "have to do one thing, to make their work efficient." The forthcoming years "will be decisive for the military building" in Russia, he said. The state landmarks in the area are technical re-equipment of the Armed Forces and increase of potential of the constant readiness formations, Putin pointed out.
The Russian leader noted the good results the Russian army and fleet units had shown in large exercises, including international ones.
The country's Armed Forces have "a powerful potential, both in personnel and technical," the President believes. This potential creates a solid ground for the success of the military reform that is underway in the country, Vladimir Putin announced.
