Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Polish counterpart Alexander Kwasniewski are observing the exercises of the Russian Navy in the Baltic Sea from the Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser conning tower.

Russian Navy Commander Vladimir Kuroyedov told the two presidents about the combat exercises to be carried out and the mission assigned to each ship participating in the exercises.

In addition, Kuroyedov explained to the two presidents the battle array of the ships.

The ships carried out manoeuvring, put down a smoke screen and employed electronic warfare complexes. After that, the ships began to train repulsion of a supposed missile attack.

First missiles were launched by the Nastoichivy destroyer. It was followed by the Neukrotimy frigate, the Piotr Veliky cruiser and the flagship Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser.

The ships also detected and destroyed an underwater objective.

The ships are currently arranging to repulse an air attack. Navy aircraft will barrage over the ships imitating a missile-bomb strike.
