Pavel Borodin, State Secretary of the Russo-Belarussian Union, insists that Petersburg should be the Union's capital city. He said this to reporters in St Pete.
"I do believe that Petersburg must be the Union's capital and I came here to say this," said Mr Borodin.
The whole of this country's 186 nationalities live spiritual lives admiring beauty, while Petersburg is the token of this beauty. "Huge investments have therefore to be channelled into the city," he emphasised.
Europe and Russia could come to an agreement on many issues if it had not been for such issues as Ukraine and Crimea.
