Aeroflot forecasts drop in H1 net income

Aeroflot is planning to receive net income totaling $16.82m in the first half of 2003, which is 15.3 percent lower than in the corresponding period of last year ($19.86m).

The expected operating revenues are $682.52m, against $673.48m in operating expenses.

Passenger traffic is expected to drop by 2.1 percent, compared to the first half of 2002; the volume of mail transportation is expected to be 2.7 percent lower, the company's press service reported citing materials submitted to a meeting of the Board of Directors of Aeroflot.
