Polish businessmen to begin operations in Omsk

A delegation of Polish businessmen, including the managers of Fatak and the national plant for agricultural machinery, the country's two largest industrial enterprises, arrived in Omsk yesterday evening. As a Rosbalt correspondent was informed by the press office of the local administration, the Polish businessmen have arrived in Omsk to assess the business potential and the possibility of creating a joint enterprise.

The Polish businessmen will visit several engineering plants in Omsk and they are interested in various different industries: from shipbuilding and steam navigation to energy and the timber industry.

The annual trade turnover between the Omsk Region and Poland is at least USD 232 million, a figure which is only bettered by Germany and Kazakhstan.
