Military products of the Russian Far East will be more actively promoted abroad

The products of defence enterprises of the Russian Far East will be more actively promoted abroad, said director general of the Russian company Rosoboronexport Andrei Velyaninov.

On Wednesday, he had a meeting in Khabarovsk with Konstantin Pulikovsky, the plenipotentiary representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin in that area. Both believe that the products of more than a dozen enterprises of the military-industrial complex in the Far Eastern federal district are obviously of interest on foreign markets.

Yesterday, an agreement was signed between Rosoboronexport and the Maritime Territory (one of the Far Eastern territories of Russia). In line with this document, the size of contract commitments of the company, which deals with exporting Russian military equipment and munitions, amount to 128 million US dollars in that Territory alone. The governor of the Territory, Sergei Darkin, assessed the agreement as being of great importance for the local economy, because it ensures additional orders for the enterprises and makes it possible to create new jobs.
