Gazprom wants to take part in Sakhalin-2 project

Gazprom is planning to participate in the energy project Sakhalin-2 and it has already made a corresponding proposal to the consortium of foreign companies that are engaged in the exploration of the Sakhalin shelf, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller declared at the 22nd World Gas Conference in Tokyo.

Shell has been negotiating Gazprom's possible participation in the Sakhalin-2 project for more than a year. John Barry, the head of Shell's division in Russia, declared on June 2 that the Russian partner might join the project.
