Chechen administration head Ahmad Kadyrov approved the order of formation of the republic's State Council, he reported Saturday at a Gudermes conference with regional administrations' heads.
In his words, the first session of the Chechen State Council will take place as early as in 15 days chaired by the republic administration's head. It is supposed to elect the Council's chairman and his deputies at the session, as well as to approve the provisions of the State Council and the regulations of its work.
In accordance with the Kadyrov-approved regulation on the order of the State Council formation, this body is being established for the period until the republic's parliament is elected.
The body will include heads of administrations of Grozny, Argun and Gudermes, other regions of the republic, as well as representatives of settlements elected by local residents.
Following the summit in Riga on November 30, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg explained how the alliance could respond to Russia's 'new aggression against Ukraine.'
