First-ever combine rally covers 2,000 kilometres over Siberia

A column of Yenisei combines which had a successful start on the route Krasnoyarsk-Orel on May 12 has already covered several Siberian regions, the Krasnoyarsk territory, the Kemerovo, Novosibirsk and Omsk region, arrived in Tyumen on Tuesday.

The route of the rally is some 5,000 kilometres long. The participants in the rally plan to cover this distance in 50 days. They have already made 2,000 kilometres.

After that, they will go via the Urals, the Republic of Bashkiria and Tatarstan (the Volga region). The rally will end in Orel (the Central Federal District).

This is the first-ever project in the history of Russian and world engineering. The more so as combines are ordinary serial machines. No incidents were marked on the way of the column.

The rally is a presentation of products of Krasnoyarsk agricultural machinists. The organisers of the action decided to show the high quality of their equipment not only in the fields but also in long rallies.
