On Tuesday an international doctoral team has begun work in far-out parts of the Murmansk region (Kola peninsula in Russia's north). The team is made up of 25 medical specialists from Russia, Ukraine, Germany, the United States and Canada, the RIA Novosti correspondent quotes the administration of the Murmansk region as saying on Tuesday.
In far-out settlements doctors will provide medical help, consultations and diagnostics, for which they have brought with them a mobile diagnostic set. Free-of-charge medicines will be issued to locals.
Within ten days they are going to spend in the region, the team of doctors will reach six remote populated places. To some of them people from nearby villages will arrive for check-ups.
The international team of doctors have arrived to the region on invitation from the Evangelical Christians Church with backing from the regional health protection committee.
