Production growth to continue in Russia

The highest pace of industrial production growth in April 2003 was registered in the machine building industry; the production in this sector added 15.9 percent, compared to April 2002, the Center for Macroeconomic Research of UniconRuf reported citing the Russian State Statistics Committee. According to specialists, the positive dynamics of industrial production will remain due to the favorable economic conjuncture and the growth in incomes of the population.

In April 2003 the output in the food sector grew by 6.7 percent, compared to April 2002, which was the result of the growth in the incomes.
