Juvenile delinquents to play football match vs footballers from popular British clubs

Juvenile delinquents from the Vladimir and Tula regions (the Central federal district) and children of penitentiary system staffers will play a series of friendly matches with veterans of the British football clubs Liverpool, Everton, Birmingham and Derby County.

Deputy executive director of the Penitentiary System Board Sergei Orekhov told a RIA Novosti correspondent that in January the British football players had already come to play a friendly match in Russia and had been defeated.

Apart from playing a football match, the British guests will visit orphanages, meet the disabled, give them presents and see the sights of Tula and Vladimir.

The British delegation will include former football stars Neil Brady, Christopher Edwards, Paul Cliff, Anthony Taylor. The British team will also star a three-time World Champion power-lifter Arthur White.

Friendly matches will be played in various towns of the two Russian regions on May 27th and 28th and on June 1st and 2nd.
