YUKOS oil exports grow

YUKOS has drawn up the preliminary results of its operating activities in the first quarter of 2003, the press service of the company reported. The company's oil exports including supplies to the Lithuanian oil refinery Mazeikiu Nafta amounted to 11.3m tons (82m barrels) in the first quarter of 2003, which was 48.2 percent higher than in the corresponding period of 2002. The volume of oil product exports was 2.3m tons (17m barrels).

The company's oil sales abroad were 9.8m tons (72m barrels) in the first quarter of 2003, which was a 24.8 percent gain. Oil product sales abroad amounted to 3.9m tons (28m barrels), which was a 68.4 percent growth.

The volume of oil product sales on the domestic market was 4.5m tons (34m barrels) in the first quarter of 2003, which was 2.7 percent higher than in the corresponding period of 2002.
