LUKoil still in for privatization of Polish oil refinery

LUKoil remains on track to continue talks with the Polish government on privatization of the Polish oil refinery Rafineria Gdanska. A source in LUKoil said in an interview with an RBC correspondent that the company did not withdraw its participation in privatizing the Polish oil refinery and continued negotiations with Polish authorities.

As reported earlier, LUKoil and its British partner Rotch Energy filed a joint application for purchasing the Polish company's shares in summer 2002. However, Rotch Energy officially undid the agreement with LUKoil in early October 2002.
