Talks on the suspension of Khabarovsk-Harbin flights of China Southern Airlines Co. started in Khabarovsk (Russia's Far East) on Monday.
The talks with the Chinese side are conducted by the Ministry of Industry, Transport and Communications of the Khabarovsk Territory and Dalavia federal unitary enterprise, the press centre of the Khabarovsk government told RIA Novosti on Monday. These measures are taken to prevent spreading of atypical pneumonia in the Khabarovsk Territory.
Since May 9 Dalavia airlines has stopped flights to Harbin till June 2003, while the Khabarovsk-Guangzhou flights were stopped earlier. This is explained by the spreading rates of the dangerous disease in some Chinese districts, the press centre said.
The number of flights of China Southern Airlines Co. were reduced from two to one a week. However, medics believe it is necessary to suspend all flights of China South airlines.
While Khabarovsk-Harbin flights are not suspended medics of Dalavia airlines and the Khabarovsk international terminal are maintaining strict control over state of health of passengers from Harbin.
