Russia and Indonesia Could Collaborate Effectively in Areas of Communication, Navigation and Cartography

Russian-Indonesian trade has great potential. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, this was announced by Senior Vice-President of the Russian Chamber of Commerce Boris Pastukhov, who spoke at the Russian-Indonesian forum in Moscow today. However, this will not be possible 'unless the traditional forms of Russian-Indonesian trade are changed,' he said.

According to Mr Pastukhov, small and medium-sized businesses could play a significant role in raising the level of bilateral trade and so could the development of interbank cooperation. He also said that according to experts Russia and Indonesia could collaborate effectively in the areas of communication, navigation and cartography. Moreover, as Mr Pastukhov pointed out, Indonesia is a large market for the export of Russian cars, including lorries, and also for oil products.
