YUKOS and Sibneft to voice collaboration plans today

Representatives of the Russian oil giants YUKOS and Sibneft will hold a joint press conference today to announce their plans for collaboration, the press services of the oil companies reported to RBC. Earlier, some news agencies reported, referring to unofficial sources, that YUKOS and Sibneft were preparing a merger. According to preliminary information, YUKOS is going to acquire an 87-percent up to a 100-percent stake in Sibneft. YUKOS was reportedly going to pay for this acquisition by its shares or money transfer. However, the YUKOS and Sibneft press services have not specified the collaboration plans.
