Revenues of telecom companies posted

Revenues of Russian operators of fixed telephone lines amounted to 21.734m rubles ($694,377) in the period from January to February 2003, which was 41.5 percent higher than in the corresponding period of last year. Revenues from services advanced by 27.6 percent to 10.646m rubles ($340,128), the Russian Telecommunications Ministry reported. Revenues of state telecommunications companies were 26bn rubles ($830m) in the first two months of 2003, which was a 39.2 percent growth compared to the corresponding period of 2002. Svyazinvest revenues increased by 42.5 percent to 20.6bn rubles ($658m) in the reported period.
