State Customs Committee posts Q1 results

Russian customs agencies transferred 57.3bn rubles ($1.8bn) to the federal budget in March 2003. The press service of the State Customs Committee reported that the government's task had been fulfilled by 113 percent. So, in the first quarter of 2003, customs agencies transferred 156.4bn rubles (about $5bn) to the federal budget, which was 105 percent of the planned volume.
