Russia is ready to give Romania state loans for the construction and upgrading of the country's major energy plants, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov said in Bucharest on Friday.
Speaking at the opening of a Russo-Romanian business forum, the Russian prime minister said that the agreement on loans signed between the Russian Vneshtorgbank and the Romanian Eximbank yesterday would form a basis for effective banking support of commercial projects and finally would increase the joint goods turnover.
The Russian prime minister believes that special attention must be paid to extending loans for long-term projects.
