The Minsk automobile plant has for the first time delivered its trucks to Sakhalin, Russia's island in the Okhotsk Sea.
The delivery was carried out within the framework of a leasing contract, the Belarussian Embassy in Moscow reported.
The deal enabled the plant to work out a new scheme of transporting trucks, which reduces the time of delivery by one week. Moreover, it has achieved stability and guarantees of transaction with remote consumers.
In the near future, Belarus wants to use this scheme to supply high-capacity tip trucks and haulers with tipping semitrailers to the Sakhalin region. They will be used to deliver coal to the island's thermal power plants.
