PM signs concept of automobile industry development

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov has signed a concept of the development of the Russian automobile industry throughout 2010, the department of government information reported to journalists. The concept envisages a complete unification of customs taxes for new and old cars over a seven-year period. These taxes will be applied to new cars, cars 3 to 7 years old and older. The tax rate is 25 percent. After the expiry date the rate is to be decreased.
