Russian military evacuated 45 people from flooded Russian regions

Russian military men evacuated 45 people from the flooded regions in the south of Russia during the previous day, said the Russian defense ministry's press service to RIA Novosti.

The South Federal district uses 244 servicemen and 47 units of military equipment for eliminating the consequences of the emergency. The military have delivered ten tons of cargoes and rendered humanitarian help to 243 people.

According to the latest data, the flood situation in the district's rivers is now stable. In the rivers of Kuban and Terek the water level is decreasing. Five settlements in the republic of Adygeya remain flooded. Because of the melting glaciers and continuing rains, the mountainous regions of two other republics, Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia, may face mud flows.
