ALROSA to establish jewelry production in Czech Republic

The delegation of the Czech Republic headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Yaroslav Bashta and the management of ALROSA, a Russian diamond maker, discussed the possibility of creating a joint venture for jewelry production and diamond sale in the Czech Republic. According to the press service of the Russian diamond maker, this agreement was reached during the Czech delegation's visit to Mirniy.

The parties agreed on preparing specific joint projects that will be related to the participation of Czech companies in supplying mining and preparation equipment for ALROSA, the construction of an oil processing plant in West Yakutia and the development and construction of sports facilities in Mirniy. The participation of the Czech Export Bank guarantees the providing of credits on favorable conditions for the Russian diamond maker. Another joint project between ALROSA and the Czech Republic may be supplying navigation and other specialized equipment for airports included in the Mirniy Airline Company.
