30 largest Russian banks' profits were $11.3bn on June 1, 2002

The total volume of funds and profit generated by 30 largest Russian banks was RUR356.9 billion (around $11.3 billion) on June 1, 2002, according to data of the aggregated balance of 30 largest Russian banks as of June 1, 2002 that was published by Department of Foreign and Public Relations of the Russian Central Bank. Of this sum banks' funds account for 84.2 percent, while their profits account for 15.8 percent (with the results of their performance in previous periods taken into account). The profit generated by 30 largest Russian banks this year was RUR38.7 billion (around $1.22 billion) on June 1, 2002.

The list of 30 largest Russian banks drawn by the Russian Central Bank does not differ from the list compiled for the previous reporting date. According to the Russian Central Bank, the list of 30 largest Russian banks includes Avtobank, Alfa-bank, Bank Zenit, the Bank of Moscow, BIN-Bank, Vneshtorgbank, Vozrozhdeniye, Gazprombank, Guta-Bank, Trust and Investment Bank, Eurofinance, Impexbank, ING Bank (Eurasia), MDM-bank, International Moscow bank, International Industrial Bank, Menatep (St. Petersburg department), Petrocommerce, Promstroybank, Industrial and Construction Bank, Raiffeisenbank (Austria), Rosbank, Russian Agricultural Bank, Russian Credit, Sberbank of the Russian Federation, Citybank, Sobinbank, Surgutneftegazbank and UralSib.
