1.1 kg of heroin seized in Tomsk

Officers from the State Traffic Inspection of Tomsk, Siberia, have seized 1.1 kg of heroin from two women, one from Tajikistan and the other from Kyrgyzstan. According to the Russian interior ministry, 1 kg 183 g of the drug were found on Tuesday in a car the inspectors had stopped for a check. The origin and purpose of purchasing the drug are yet unclear.

In all over the past 24 hours, law enforcers seized drugs 13 times, in 12 of Russia's 89 Federation members. The drugs seized were heroin /more than 1.3 kg/, poppy straw /more than 21.4 kg/, opium /about 70 g/ and ephedrone /1.5 kg/.
