Delivery of potable water - problem 1 for Russia's flooded southern regions

Russian Minister of Emergencies Sergei Shoigu says provision of potable water for those who suffered from floods in the Krasnodar Territory is the task No.1.

According to the Ministry's press-service, Shoigu said at a conference at the Territory's administration that water-supplies and water inlets should be repaired and reconstructed as soon as possible, while control over water quality must remain as high.

Currently, 43,000 people in the flooded areas of the Krasnodar territory drink water taken from other regions.

Shoigu also ordered to conclude vaccination of the territory's population against hepatitis and other diseases.
