Tomsk region resident injured when removing a board with anti-Semitic appeals inscribed on it

A resident of the Tomsk region, Western Siberia, was wounded on Monday when attempting to remove a plywood board reading anti-Semitic appeals. The board installed on a side road near Tomsk was mined.

The injured is a driver, who works for a local road construction and repair company, reports the local police. He and his chief were driving by when they saw the board. The men were trying to remove the board when an explosive planted in it went off.

The driver received shrapnel wounds in the head and legs. Doctors say he is in a satisfactory condition.

Although not that powerful, the explosive device was stuffed with nails, according to the police.

The regional prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the incident.

It is the second time such an incident has taken place in Russia over the past month. A woman has been gravely wounded pulling out a similar board near Moscow.
