Over 6 Months of 2002, Ford's Sales in Russia Grew by 93% on Year

Over the past 6 months of 2002, the sales of Ford cars in Russia increased by 93% on the year amounting to 2,818. According to the press service of Ford's office in Russia, over the period, the leading model was Ford Focus, of which 1.375 were sold. It is followed by Mondeo (855), Transit (255), and Maverick (191).

The Ford Motor Company founded in 1903 by Henry Ford is now one of the world's 5 largest automobile concerns. On July 9, 2002, an official opening of a Ford plant will take place in the city of Vsevolozhsk, the Leningrad Region. Invested in the plant has so far been about USD 150 million.
