Vladimir Putin discusses state of Russian fuel market with Vice Premier Victor Khristenko

Vladimir Putin discussed the state of Russia's fuel market and the development of the country's energy sector with Vice Prermier Victor Khristenko on Wednesday.

At the meeting the officials dwelled on "existing resources and the price situation on Russia's interior market, the country's place on the international oil market," Victor Khristenko informed journalists after the conversation with the president.

This is connected with issues of development of Russia's "transportation system in the perspective," the vice prime minister stressed.

Prominent on the discussion was international cooperation with relation to the Caspian Sea. The president and the vice premier spoke on "the course of implementing the agreements with Kazakhstan, concerning the development of the north-Caspian bosom." Actually the question is about "the prospects of Russia's and Kazakhstan's common balance of oil resources," Khristenko underlined.

Besides, the officials discussed the issue of accomplishing "technical procedures" as to the agreement of the Caspian cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan.

Putin and Khristenko also considered cooperation in gas between Russia and Ukraine. The vice premier stressed the urgency of the topic, gas strategic cooperation documents signed by Russia and Ukraine recently.
