Tatneft supplies tires to Iraq

Tatneft, a Russian oil giant, completed the delivery of 28,000 tires for cars, trucks and agricultural vehicles that were produced by Nizhnekamskshina, to the Republic of Iraq in accordance with the three contracts and in line with the program of the Organization of the United Nations "Oil for Food". According to the report of the press service of Tatneft, the total amount of the deal was around EUR1.5 million. A total of 6 Nizhnekamskshina tire delivery contracts were signed in the second half of last year in line with the " Oil for Food " program to a total amount of EUR4.5 million.

The remaining three contracts are currently being approved by the UN Security Council, and the degrees of their readiness differ, the press service of Tatneft reported. Additionally, Tatneft filed new applications for the participation in the delivery of tires to the Republic of Iraq this year. As it was reported earlier, the major shareholders of Nizhnekamskshina are Tatneft (34.72 percent of shares) and Tatneftekhiminvest-Holding (5.72 percent of shares).
