Vladimir Putin calls upon deputies to maintain cooperation with executive branches

Vladimir Putin has asked the State Duma deputies to maintain the momentum and positive practice of the parliament's cooperation with the executive branch. President Putin said this at a meeting in the Kremlin with the leaders of factions and associations of the Lower Chamber of parliament on the occasion of the end of the spring session.

President Putin said that this practice ought to be preserved also at the stage when bills are prepared.

The President said that "in a country like Russia, it is essential to synchronize the work of legislative power on its entire territory." The President paid special attention to "the need to analyze law-application practices." "If the norm of the law does not work, which, regretfully, happens quite often, the only ones to blame for it are the bodies of executive power, but often this is also a drawback of law-making work," said the president.
