Head of Chechnya thanks Russian soldiers for assistance provided to eliminate consequences of the flood

Commander of the Russian North-Caucasian Military district Gennady Troshev said in the wake of his Saturday meeting with Ahmad Kadyrov, head of the administration of the Chechen Republic, that he had expressed gratitude to servicemen of the Russian Federal forces in the republic for assistance provided to eliminate consequences of the flood in the south of Russia which Chechnya also suffered from.

About 4,000 soldiers and some 400,000 pieces of military equipment are involved in the restoration of the areas of Chechnya regions affected by the calamity. A total of 85 people were saved thanks to the soldiers' efforts.
