US Scientists to Train Russian Colleagues in Marketing Their Developments

Today the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Nizhny Novgorod Centre of Information of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Nizhny Novgorod Region will jointly begin to carry out The Commercialisation of High Technologies training programme for Russian scientists and engineers. This is according to the press service of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The objective of the project is to train Russia's scientists in the effective marketing of their developments.

The first group of trainees was selected on a competitive basis from among the professionals of Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Cheboksary, Perm, Pushchino, and Snezhinsk. Once trained, these scientists and engineers are expected to be able to better asses the potentials of their developments, choose effective means for protecting their intellectual property, find potential customers, and determine who are their competitors.
