Putin’s twelve moods

The portrait of the head of the state is a sure thing in officials’ offices. There is a strong aspiration to immortalize Vladimir Putin on calendars and portraits, on carpets and matreshkas. As assistant to the president Sergey Yastrzhembsky claimed, the president did not at all like those tasteless attempts about his persona. Carpets that depict the image of the Russian president are rather popular among Moscow officials and companies’ managers. Some of them are unique, they are produced only exclusively – either in small series, or just one single item is manufactured. The State Duma ordered one of those carpets at a factory in Yekaterinburg.

Its is not known, what Vladimir Putin is thinking about those carpet portraits himself, but he did not at all like Easter eggs which depicting his image. When he saw them at the exhibition, he asked the organizers to remove them immediately.

Well, if Vladimir Putin walks along Arbat Street in Moscow, he would not be happy to see matreshkas with his face. However, Russian people and foreign tourists buy them with great pleasure. Vendors say that people usually buy pairs of Putin and Bush matreshkas.

The Russian oil and gas company Surgutneftegaz is the best. There are calendars hanging in the offices of the company and those calendars are called “Putin’s Twelve Moods.” So, each month is associated with a certain face expression of the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
