Hackers attempt to break into President's site

As RIA Novosti knows from a source in the Russian President's administration, over the first three hours of operation of the new Presidential site, several dozen hacker attempts were made to break into the Internet-page of the head of state.

"All the attempts were foiled by an appropriate service of the Federal Agency of Government Communication and Information (FAPSI)," according to the source.

The newly opened and improved Presidential site turned out to be extremely popular which was evidenced by the number of visitors. In the first three hours of its operation the Presidential site was visited by more than 10,000 Internet users.

The source recalled the Internet press conference the Russian leader held this past March. Then, according to FAPSI , the Internet-page of the head of state was subjected to 30 hacker attacks. FAPSI officials pointed out that half of the attempts were made from abroad.
