Russian legislators intend to use experience of British colleagues

Russian legislators intend to use the experience of their British colleagues in the sphere of modernisation and development of education. This was disclosed on Thursday by Chairman of the State Duma committee on Education and Science Aleksander Shishlov in the course of the meeting with the delegation of the British Parliament Committee on Education.

"We have similar problems in the sphere of education and similar approaches to their solution," Head of the British delegation of Legislators Valerie Davy said. Particularly, the problems concerning the financing of events and institutions in the sphere of education, Davy added.

The members of the British delegation also supported the Russian reformation in the sphere of education. At the same time the British Parliamentarians remarked, that the system of the standard financing has been successfully existing in Great Britain for 12 years, and the system of a single state exam - for 50 years.

In conclusion both sides agreed that they have some experience to share and said they wanted to continue their cooperation in the future.
