Eggs that got scrambled in a truck

The result of a fire in the Novgorod region was almost 20,000 of scrambled eggs. According to a source in the office of the State Firefighting Service of Russia's Northwestern Novgorod region, the incident occurred on the St. Petersburg - Moscow highway and involved a truck loaded with eggs.

The truck, which belonged to a poultry farm, was carrying a load of eggs, which caught fire somewhere along the way. What caused the fire remained unclear -- maybe someone dropped a cigarette end in the car when the eggs were being loaded, -- but all the eggs burst and got fried up. The fire was extinguished by the truck driver, who luckily found a water tank nearby.

The price of the huge mass of scrambled eggs, which cost workmen several hours of washing and scrubbing, amounted to $400.
