The climate of social injustice, of hopelessness and impunity through rampant corruption, leaves the average citizen of Brazil open to attack wherever he goes or whenever he ventures out of his home.
This is the legacy of decades of corrupt centre-right government, which have led to 40,000,000 Brazilians living below the poverty line.
