French companies intend to build up their presence on the Russian services market, said Francois Perigot, head of a representative delegation of French businessmen who are currently in Moscow, in reply to RIA Novosti question.
The delegation includes about 50 French businessmen almost half of whom are engaged in the services sphere.
Perigot noted that the Russian market was rather interesting for French business from the viewpoint of the competitive economy. French firms are expected to develop a most active presence on Russia's market of consulting services, despite the fact that it is precisely there that competition is rather tough, said Francois Perigot. At the same time, the head of the delegation added that French firms could well find demand in that sphere.
Dealing with the economic situation in Russia, the head of the French business mission noted that there are obvious positive aspects that manifest themselves in economic stabilization. In his opinion, these tendencies give rise to the hope for improvement of the investment climate.
Francois Perigot stressed that the main task of the delegation which is currently in Moscow "is to get acquainted with the key figures of Russia's financial and economic life." The delegation which arrived in Moscow last Monday, includes representatives of aerospace, agro-industrial, building, TV-communications, banking and other companies.
The delegation intends to conclude its Moscow visit on Wednesday.
