Halliburton To Consolidate To Establish The All New APC

Halliburton and Landmark Graphics Corporation, a wholly owned business unit of Halliburton, have consolidated their extensive consulting resources to establish the Asset Performance Consulting (APC) group. This new group includes world-class technical and economic experts, enabling companies to achieve consistent performance improvements from their energy assets, asset teams and asset portfolios.

APC consulting services span the oilfield lifecycle and include exploration, development, production enhancement, divestment and abandonment. Using industry-leading practices such as exploration play and prospect generation, development scenario optimization, mature field optimization and accelerated technology adoption, APC integrates technical experience and know-how with state-of-the-art technologies and processes to generate economically viable and effective solutions.

"The vision of Halliburton Energy Services Group is to be the real-time knowledge company servicing the upstream oil and gas industry," said John Gibson, president of Halliburton Energy Services. "Working with our new APC group, energy companies can better integrate people, technology and processes to dramatically improve the speed and quality of decision-making needed for real-time reservoir management. As a result, our customers can optimize asset performance, reduce cycle times, implement new processes and improve profitability. This will not be a typical consultancy practice."

Worldwide APC personnel include geologists, geophysicists, petrophysicists, reservoir engineers, production engineers, drilling engineers, facilities engineering and economics professionals to provide true subsurface-surface integration. Using advanced probabilistic economic analyses, the APC group can provide customers with a consistent view of project uncertainties, technical alternatives and economic impacts resulting from asset performance decisions. Industry customers of either Halliburton or Landmark can gain access to the wide range of APC services within their existing account structure.

"The mission of APC is to be the global leader in providing E&P management and technology consultative support," said Andy Lane, president and CEO of Landmark. "The key differentiator will be APC's ability to apply know-how and state-of-the-art technology that improves asset performance through access to Halliburton and Landmark's extensive network of experienced and skilled personnel."

APC will strive to enable E&P companies to integrate advanced knowledge of reservoir, drilling, production and facilities engineering and geosciences within an economics framework to provide comprehensive, cost-efficient and highly functional solutions.
