Vietnam launches construction of hydroelectric power station with russian participation

The construction of Sesan-3, a 260 MW hydroelectric power station, was launched in the central part of Vietnam. The estimated cost of the construction is equal to $260 million. A part of the sum will be allotted from the special Russian credit line of $100 million, set up according to the agreement, reached during Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov's visit to Vietnam.

The construction of the new power station is conducted by the General Trust of Vietnamese Hydroconstruction, set up during the building of the Hoabinh power station, the biggest hydroelectric power station in the South-East Asia, with a 1,920 MW output. The station was designed, built and equipped with active participation of Russian specialists.
