Central Bank official comments on audit report

The Unicon consulting company, the auditor of the Central Bank of Russia, gave a positive conclusion regarding the monetary policy of the Bank in 2001. This information was released by First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank Tatiana Paramonova at the 11th International Banking Congress in St. Petersburg. According to her, it has been the first time an auditor examined the monetary policy of the Bank in addition to the annual report. The auditor confirmed the reliability of the annual report for 2001 without introducing any recommendations, Paramonova pointed out.

As it was reported earlier, the annual report of the Central Bank for 2001 is to be presented to the State Duma until the end of the spring session. On July 4, a special commission of the Duma's budget and tax committee discussed the classified chapters of the Bank's annual report.
