Amerada Plugs Failed 1/5-4S Well

Amerada Hess has plugged and abandoned well 1/5-4 S. The well was drilled to a depth of 3,090 meters in seventy meters of water without finding hydrocarbons. Amerada Hess is operator and holds a quarter interest in permit 144, which contains block 1/5 and 1/6. Other partners in License 144 are Statoil with half and Entprise Oil with the other 25%. The semi submersible, Deepsea Bergen, will move next to Block 35/1 for Phillips Petroleum.
