Oil and gas exports to be considered at Russian-EU summit

The questions concerning Russian oil and gas exports to European countries will be discussed at the coming Russia-European Union summit, which is to be held in Moscow on May 27, the Spain Ambassador to Russia told journalists today. According to him, the European Union member states are interested in investing in the energy sector of the Russian economy.

The EU delegation will be represented by Spanish President of the Government Jose Maria Aznar Lopez (Spain is chairing EU at present), Chairman of the European Commission Romano Prodi and three members of this organization. The delegation will meet with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Khristenko, Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov, Energy Minister Igor Yusufov, Atomic Minister Alexander Rumyantsev and Gazprom's chief Alexey Miller.
