Most forest fires in Siberia localized

The departments of the Emergencies Ministry, the forest protection services and local people have managed to localize most of the forest fires in many regions of the Siberian Federal District during the last 24 hours. The Siberian Regional Center of the Emergencies Ministry reported this to RIA Novosti on Tuesday. The fires have swept across more than 18000 hectares of forest area in the Irkutsk Region. Firemen have succeeded to localize fires on a 15000 hectares forest territory. The artificial Earth satellite detected the fires in the Krasnoyarks Region, in Buryatia and the Chita Region. They were also localized. The Republic of Tuva is less successful. The fire has engulfed nearly 2,000 hectares of the mountain forests.
