Russia, Kazakhstan reach consensus on Caspian exploration

Russia and Kazakhstan managed to reach consensus on issues of Caspian exploration. This fact was noted at the meeting between Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov and his Kazakh counterpart Imangali Tasmagambetov, the government information department reported. In the course of the meeting the Russian premier noted with satisfaction the growth in commodity turnover between the two countries which amounted last year to USD 4.7 billion and is currently approaching the 5-billion-dollar level. Mikhail Kasyanov advocated further development of trade and economic cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan. The Russian and Kazakh delegations discussed ways of further development of relations in the sphere of energy.
