Kaspiisk says 'goodbye' to victims of terrorism

Kaspiisk is bidding farewell to the people who were killed as a result of the act of terrorism that took place on May 9. The Ministry for Healthcare of the republic of Dagestan reported that the number of victims reached 41, about 90 people are in hard condition at hospitals.

The mourning ceremony started in Kaspiisk this morning. Sixteen coffins were placed on the parade grounds of the 77th marine brigade, and the coffins were covered with Russian flags. Governmental officials of Dagestan and Kaspiisk and many Kaspiisk residents attended the ceremony. The dead bodies are now going to be sent to Moscow, and then to graveyards of different Russian cities. Four Kaspiisk military men have already been buried on the town cemetery.

In the meantime, there have been several suspects detained in several cities of Russia. Nikolay Patrushev, Russian Federal Security Bureau (FSB) Director, said that “there was an opportunity to trace the actual organizer of the horrific crime with the help of those detained people.”
